Australian Bush Flower Essence Therapy

The art of flower essences for healing is an ancient practice. A treatment will last 60 minutes and begins with a consultation on what your current challenges are and what your expectations are from the session. You will spend a few minutes looking at the pictures of the different flower essence cards.  Each card depicts a stunning Australian Bush Flower and each flower has specific healing properties.  Then, you will choose five flowers that you are drawn to. Your choice will be purely intuitive as you are choosing purely of the flowers that you are attracted to.  You will learn the healing properties of the flowers that you have chosen and what this means for you in your life.   You will then take 7 drops under your tongue or in a glass of water morning and evening for 2-3 weeks and watch for the changes that will unfold.   Sometimes the flower essences can be very profound and work immediately and at other times the changes are subtler and gradual.

Ayurvedic Medicine

So much of our time and energy is used in learning about a diverse variety of subject matters, but how much time do you spend learning about yourself?  How well do you know and understand yourself? Ayurveda is the ancient Indian system of natural and holistic medicine and is the sister of Yoga. It means “the science of life”.  Ayurveda teaches us to prevent disease and how to eliminate it’s root cause if it does occur. This is what to expect during your Ayurvedic Health Consultation:

  • The Ayurvedic Health Consultation/Assessment will take about 1.5 hours, so please be sure to set aside enough time for your appointment.
  • You will need to fast for at least 3.5 hours prior to the consultation.  You can however, have some warm water to drink (but no tea, coffee, juices etc.) up until 1 hour before the consultation, after which you should stop drinking completely until Dr Sharma finishes reading your pulse.
  • During the Ayurvedic Consultation, Dr Sharma will check your Pulse, Aura, Navel Centre & Chakras.  This is to determine your body constitution, mental & emotional makeup, and if there are any problems/ blockages within your system.
  • Depending on your body type & state of health, Dr Sharma will recommend a suitable diet program & lifestyle pattern.  After the consultation, within a few days, he will send you a comprehensive report containing your recommended Ayurvedic diet plan and lifestyle guidelines.
  • The doctor may also recommend some energy healing sessions to correct the imbalances (if any) within your system.
  • Come prepared to meet your unique self – the way Mother Nature has created you!

Consultation $1,800, 90 mins
Follow-up consultation $1,500, 60 mins
Package of 3 treatments and a follow up session $6,300

Homeopathy

Homeopathy is founded on two principles that have occurred regularly throughout the history of medicine, both in eastern and western worlds. The first principle of ‘like cures like’ can be looked at in several ways. One way is to assume that the body knows what it is doing and that symptoms are the body’s way of taking action to overcome illness. This healing response is automatic in living organisms; we term it the vital response. The similar medicine acts as a stimulus to the natural vital response, giving it the information it needs to complete its healing work. Since the initial action of the vital response plus the medicine is to increase the strength of the symptoms, this is our first indication of internal healing taking place, of diseases being cured from within – pushed outwards along the established routes of past and present symptoms.

Ecotherapy

One major difference between our current lifestyle and those of our evolutionary past is an increasing distance from natural settings with increased urbanisation. This change has a major impact on our mental health. Historically, a remedy for ill health or low spirits, if the means were available, would be to send someone to the quiet of the country or seashore and away from the bustle of the city. In HK this is something we specialise in at our beautiful Lantau location. Growing up in a rural setting correlates with a less acute stress response, and exposure to the green great outdoors significantly correlates to a positive effect on well-being. Images and sounds of a natural environment can decrease stress in people exposed to negative stimuli. There is a significant correlation between the availability of nature and lower levels of depression, anxiety, and stress. There are many studies showing a similar relationship between nature exposure, relaxation, and well-being.  Taking a nature walk has shown to result in decreased anxiety, rumination, and negative feelings, and even increased performance on cognitive tests compared to a walk along a busy street. Nature walkers have reduced activity in a particular brain region, the subgenual prefrontal cortex. This area of the brain is associated with rumination, or worrying on the same issues over and over, a problem described often in depressive and anxiety disorders. So in a world and environment where our brains are working overtime and we think and roll over ideas and worry, exposure to nature seems to get us out of our heads, with likely positive longitudinal benefits.  We are offering hikes and runs in nature and work with two Ecotherapists hosting events and private sessions.
